Jonathan Saba

Chief Content Officer

Jonathan Saba is the Chief Content Officer for Saban Films. In this position, Mr. Saba is responsible for overseeing all aspects of theatrical and ancillary marketing for the entire Saban Films slate in addition to managing all third party studio, producer and distribution relationships.

Prior to joining Saban Films, Saba has held executive positions in acquisitions and marketing at Anchor Bay Films, Image Entertainment and most recently, he helped launch the distribution division of the Criterion Collection, where he oversaw all managerial, administrative and strategic aspects of North American sales and marketing. (Selected filmography while at Image Entertainment: Diablo Cody’s directorial debut “Paradise,” the Laurence Fishburne starrer “Colony,” and The Richard Gere espionage thriller “The Double”.) In addition, Saba created, developed, marketed and Executive Produced “Lewis Black: Old Yeller,” the first ever live multi-medium standup comedy special that was made available simultaneously in over 100M households. Mr. Saba started and ran the film shingle Rilean Pictures, and has done consulting work with the Non-Profit HearMe, a 401c3 that empowers schools, after school programs, community organizations and event organizers with the tools, technology and know-how to elicit authentic and meaningful stories from youth.

Jonathan received his B.A. in Political Science, with Honors, from University of Michigan, College of Literature, Science and the Arts.
